We're Ready to Leave!

Well, the time has almost time for us to leave! We are just about all packed and we will be leaving very early Thursday morning. We will tell the girls goodbye Wednesday night, which I have already cried about many, many times during the day while they have been at school. I know everything will be fine, but saying goodbye for a period of time like that is never fun. Please pray for our girls to have peace with us leaving. Please pray for my parents who will be caring for them while we are away. Please pray for us on our journey. Lastly, please pray for precious Sara who is awaiting our arrival to come and finally bring her home. We know that God has been watching over her and has provided a loving foster family to care for her while we have been waiting, and for that we are so very thankful. God is so good - all of the time!! Thank you in advance for all of your thoughts and prayers!! :) Can't wait to send pictures!!!

My Last day of School

Last Friday was my last day of work this year teaching first grade at MPES. It was a really weird feeling knowing that I wouldn't be back until next year, so I was a little sad. My wonderful children, however, made sure that I had a great day. They had a "Chinese" party for me. My awesome parents brought in chinese food for the children to taste, along with cupcakes topped with fortune cookies, drinks, and of course, chopsticks!! The children had a great time and so did I!! What a great way to end my time with such a spectacular group of children!!

Friends and Family are so Wonderful!

The past few weeks have been so exciting! Between my friends and family at home, and my friends at school, I have had two fabulous showers. Everything at both of them was so beautiful; I just can't thank them enough for all of their hard work!! My whole family is so thankful for all the wonderful gifts we got! It was so much fun putting them all away and getting ready for Sara to finally come home. Now it's only a few short weeks until she will be here using everything! That is exciting and a huge blessing!! :)

Travel Dates are Set!!

We finally have our travel approvals and our travel arrangements are set!! We will be leaving Thursday, Sept. 16th and returning to the wonderful USA on Friday, Oct. 1st. This works out great for our Lauren and Caroline since that will be their last day of school before fall break starts. That means that they will have two whole weeks off with their new baby sister as soon as we get home!! God is so good!! His timing is always best!! :) Please keep us in your prayers!!

New Pictures!!!

I went to FedEx this morning and picked up the actual referral packet!! We didn't think it possible, but she is about ten times more precious in clear, color pictures!! What a little angel baby!! WE CAN'T WAIT to bring her home! As you can tell, her sisters are in love, love, love too!!

We FINALLY got the call!!!

What a wonderful feeling!! We got the call today at 2:56 p.m. to be exact. She is only 6 months old and from the Jiangxi Province. Her birthday is 1/12/10!!! She is absolutely adorable! We are so in love we can't stand it!! Now we just can't wait to go get her and bring her home. The pictures were scanned so they are very hard to see - sorry!!

Phone calls are being made!!

They are finally making phone calls for people in our referral batch!! Our agency only says that they don't know if they will be getting our referral today, tomorrow, or Monday. The anticipation is absolutely killing us!! I am checking the computer every 20 minutes and reading about everyone else getting "THE CALL" and seeing their little ones' faces!! It's almost us!! Come on phone...RING!!!!
